Nazar was born and raised in Turkmenistan, so he speaks Russian and Turkmen in addition to being fluent in English.

Nazar attended the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London and University of Gloucestershire where he studied Business Administration and Economics.

Having worked previously in property management and education, Nazar joined our team full time as Compliance and Systems Co-ordinator and here discovered his love for ship brokering.

In January 2017, Nazar moved into the role of shipbroker. His vessel specialism in barges (pontoons) – including submersible, ballastable, crane and accommodation types.

Nazar enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughters – and at the recent DSB social, ‘Team Annayev’ discovered their talent for croquet! Nazar is tech-savvy and nothing gives him more satisfaction, when faced with a problem, than to find an innovative solution.
