Born and raised in Turkmenistan, Nazar is fluent in Turkmen and Russian, as well as English. He studied Business Administration and Economics at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and at the University of Gloucestershire.
Before joining our team, Nazar worked in property management and education. He began his journey with us as Compliance and Systems Coordinator, where he discovered a passion for shipbroking.
Since January 2017, Nazar has been working as a Shipbroker, specialising in barges (pontoons) – including submersible, ballastable, crane and accommodation types, as well as jack-ups.
Outside of work, Nazar enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughters. At a recent DSB social, ‘Team Annayev’ even discovered a hidden talent for croquet! Tech-savvy and naturally curious, Nazar takes real satisfaction in finding innovative solutions to complex problems.
