DSB Offshore broker purchase of Jackup barge, ‘De Zeebouwer’ to Jackup GB

News jackup purchase via DSB offshore Ltd

“Jackup GB has strengthened its position as the UK’s leading provider of jackup and floating marine based construction plant, having concluded the acquisition of the 600 tonne jackup barge ‘De Zeebouwer’,” says Jackup GB.

DSB Offshore Ltd are pleased to be a part of this deal in our capacity as shipbrokers representing the buyers.

‘De Zeebouwer’ was purchased by Geosea, part of the Deme Group, and has been renamed ‘Commander’.

“This latest acquisition provides the perfect size construction barge and can accommodate 600 tonnes of plant and materials on deck and has a jacking capacity of 1,600 tonnes supported on four x 42 metres long legs.  With such a high deck capacity, containerised office accommodation and underdeck storage ‘Commander’ will be a very popular barge working on large inland, coastal and renewables based construction projects,” says Jackup GB.
