SBM wins windfarm jack-up order

SBM said its SBM-GustoMSC unit would also supply its continuous jacking systems and 800-tonne offshore cranes in a contract valued at about €60 million ($80 million).

The units are designed specifically for the installation of turbines in offshore wind farms.

SBM said the order for the vessel had been placed with Lamprell by Fred. Olsen Windcarrier earlier this year.

The units will be only the second and third of the type to be built so far, it said.
